1.Paypal Issue.
When paypal decided to disassociate with revenue sharing companies citing change in regulations.It had put a freeze on all accounts of those companies.Now member funds were trapped and you can imagine the chaos it can cause for a startup company. MPA was written off and people started stamping SCAM on MPA.
Paypal being most reliable payment processor,majority members would have been associated with MPA through it.
Uday Nara ,did a splendid job of getting into touch with paypal officials and setup meeting to resolve these issues.He also decide to stop the business for that duration when there was no clarity to its members,but gave constant updates and progress to its members. MPA was relaunched on 15th March 2016 with new changes and without paypal as processor.
He also simultaneously was working on the paypal issue and paypal had communicated it would be releasing the freeze funds after 180 days.
In July 2016 ,MPA started releasing all pending paypal funds to its members.
The idea to create an advertising platform and have members associated with the platform through rev share is brilliant ,But to remain truthful to the cause and bring in pure execution of plans, is humongous asking of an individual. To this day Dr Uday Nara has managed it.
2.Issues with Traffic monsoon business model being called ponzi scheme.
If a company is operating with a business model and one of the similar companies with the same business model is facing regulatory issues then we can not shy away by not introspecting ours.
While going through SEC Vs Traffic Monsoon case documents, I got to know how exactly this business works. To put it in a nutshell
At TM 99% of the revenue generated was from adpack sales. Basically it had no other revenue streams. Meaning ,new member purchase funds where distributed among all. That is as long as new members keep joining and existing members put fresh funds the business will be afloat.
TM had no membership fees ,or any other massive sale of advertisements for additional revenue to show for.
My view is that TM would have been able to continue its journey after paypal issue hadn't the owner pull out an escalation from the SEC due to his withdrawals to personal account. Up till the paypal issue he had not missed any payment to his members and members trusted him.
What happened at MPA?
It is said "Intelligence is being able to learn from your mistakes; Wisdom is being able to learn from the mistakes of others."
At that stage even though MPA was growing at a fast pace ,Uday decided to introduce monthly Membership fees on all 3 upper levels of adpacks.
Now that we are at 300000+ members, say only 100000 are capable of paying membership may be at an avg of $10 that is 10 million USD per month additional revenue to the company to run it and maintain the company. This is very important.
In TM when the site was brought down it had 3.4 million active add packs at that point TM had only 60-70 mil$ worth in assets. If these add packs were to mature it would need 274 million to pay its customers.
For the longevity of the company Membership fees should not be removed at any cost. And the company should pursue new income streams in the form of MNC adds etc.
3.Fore sight ,when MPA Members max out earning maximum rewards daily they will not contribute to the business but would eventually drain out the system.
For this problem to not happen and ensure sustainability over a long period of time ,MPA had to ensure every single member work towards the promotion of the company.
MPA took bold decisions to ensure this.By setting new business rules.
The latest changes will bring further stability and better divergence in pay.
Before this change a person solo MPA member with no referrals who is not capable of marketing and a person who works hard in promoting MPA both could attain 200$ daily profit.
There arises the question What is the need of promoting MPA if I Alone can attain maximum profit.?
People will just repurchase till they can withdraw the max profit ,even without doing any fresh purchase be it a Leader or Solo Member.
Now after this change a Solo member would only be able to get to a maximum reward of 3000$ without promoting MPA. And a leader promoting MPA will be able to get Maximum reward of 6000$.
So now no way of getting to the 6000$ per month dream without promoting MPA.
It is a good marketing move. And very good for the company.
The Actual MPA promotions will start now.
